Irish Honeymooners Are Spending Big on their Honeymoon
Recent research carried out by Emirates Holidays has revealed that couples in Ireland splash out 67% more money on their honeymoon (€5,985) than they do on a regular holiday (€3,580). On average, they spend 8 hours 37 minutes planning their honeymoon. The survey also found that four in five couples in Ireland visit at least two destinations during their honeymoon, and 70% of respondents said that they would love to start married life with a long trip of three weeks or more. More than two thirds of couples said they wished they had used a travel agent to take the tension out of honeymoon planning.
With that in mind, Emirates Holidays has teamed up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to recruit the first ever dedicated Honeymoon Planners specialising in Thailand. Nasreen Yousaf, Honeymoon Planner at Emirates Holidays, said, ‘At Emirates Holidays, we understand how stressful and time-consuming it can be planning a honeymoon on top of your other wedding prep. As honeymoon planners, our job is to make it an altogether easier and more enjoyable experience for couples, guiding them through the whole journey and ensuring they don’t miss out on those extra-special touches that make their trips unforgettable.’
